Quality vs. quantity

This is a very controversial issue: quality vs. quantity en education! watch this video and give us your point of view! (Do you really need to spend so many days in our schools?) what can you tell from your own personal experience?

  1. In my opinion I think it is very important to have both quality and quantity in our education because the time we spend is enough if we take advantage of everything we can.
In my personal experience I am satisfied of every moment, situation and opportunity at school even though many times I have felt tired.
But I know the effort will have a good end to me.

  2. For me, quantity in education does not mean quality! Personally, I am gratified with the amount hours of my education because my classes endured about 4 or 5 hours each day, and I did not have classes the weekends. Nowadays, the parents send their sons at nursery school from 3 to 5 years old and from 5 to 17 years old, they spend many hours of day at schools. I do not agree with it, because I believe children and young people must enjoy each stage of the life. Today, the children do not have much time to play and teenagers can not choose to do anything else, like sport or a language course. I consider it is a cause of stress that they feel!

  3. well it is a very controvertial task to talk about. everybody thinks that spending as much time as it is possible at school make students learn more successfully. Although I personally desagree, we as students of the training college spend almos all our weekends at school and not all weeks, the real thing is that it is a bit stressful especially those days with 40° C, but I do not fell I am learning less that those who go to school every day of every week. the teacher puts all her best to give us a class as complete as possible and teachs us many many things that in my case not only are extremely useful but also are in my mind and I cannot forget them. So as you can see quantity is not very important what is really important is the quality of each class and the will teacher put in her work. another factor that I consider vital to learn is the atmosphere, for example through this long and heavy year of having classes on Fridays and Saturdays we establish a beautiful personal relationship with the teacher, each class has its fun moments that make us feel very confortable and with predisposition to be there 10,12,or more hours. this last motif is what makes us to continue going and sitting for classes!

  4. I think: "Nowadays is very different from previews generations". Some people says that extends days is a good option because this will give students more time to learn or to acquire new things. Nevertheless add days will not make student better or more intelligent, they are focuced on quantity rather than quality.
I used to spend few hours at school with specific subjects but now they have so many subject and sometimes these are not meanful.
Personally, I believe that as a matter of fact is not quantity but the quality of education and what students will get from it... it is really the most important!!
